Certified Fire-Resistant & Acoustic Cladding Systems
Emaar Industries manufactures heavy-duty Rockwool insulated sandwich panels in both roof and wall profiles. Developed specifically for projects subject to rigorous civil defence mandates, insurance requirements, or high acoustic dampening criteria, our panels utilize perpendicular-oriented lamella rockwool fibers to maximize compression resistance and prevent delamination under extreme thermal exposure.
Passive Fire Protection
Basalt stone mineral wool withstands temperatures above 1,000°C without melting, self-extinguishing flame propagation, or releasing toxic gas droplets, functioning as an active fire compartment wall.
Superior Acoustic Dampening
The open-porous fibrous structure delivers excellent sound absorption and transmission loss (Rw 30–34 dB), dampening mechanical machinery hum, rain noise on roofs, and environmental highway noise.
High Structural Integrity
Automated cutting of mineral wool into lamella strips with fibers positioned vertically to steel skins provides exceptional tensile strength, load-bearing span capacity, and resistance to wind suction.
Rockwool Configurations for Roof & Wall Envelopes
Manufactured on precision continuous double-belt laminating lines in Muscat, tailored to match structural spans and civil engineering specifications.
Rockwool Roof Sandwich Panels
Designed with high trapezoidal crests (typically 4 or 5 ribs) for optimal rainwater discharge and long purlin spans. Side-overlap joint with anti-capillary weather grooves guarantees watertight performance even during monsoon rains or desert storms down to 5° roof slopes.
Rockwool Wall Sandwich Panels
Engineered for external building envelopes, internal dividing firewalls, and acoustic barrier partitions. Precision tongue-and-groove joint profile with optional concealed fastener systems creates seamless, airtight architectural facades with certified fire-stop integrity.

Rockwool Panel Engineering Questions
Comprehensive answers regarding fire certification, acoustic attenuation, structural spans, and Gulf climate specifications.
Rockwool sandwich panels consist of high-density basalt mineral wool bonded between two prepainted structural steel skins. They are specified where non-combustibility and life-safety fire performance are legally required or critical, such as industrial firewalls, plant rooms, power substations, oil & gas installations, acoustic enclosures, warehouses, and densely occupied commercial complexes.
While PIR and PUR offer higher thermal insulation per millimeter of thickness, Rockwool provides a 100% non-combustible core with melting points exceeding 1,000°C. Rockwool does not contribute to flashover, releases zero toxic droplets under direct flame, and offers significantly higher acoustic transmission loss (soundproofing), making it the mandatory choice for passive fire compartments and noisy industrial zones.
Depending on core thickness and joint installation details, Emaar Rockwool panels provide certified fire integrity and insulation ratings ranging from EI30 (30 minutes) up to EI180 and EI240 (3 to 4 hours) in compliance with ASTM E119, BS 476, and EN 13501-2 standards.
We supply premium facings in hot-dip galvanized steel (PPGI) or 55% Al-Zn alloy coated steel (Alu-Zinc) from 0.45 mm to 0.70 mm thickness. Coating finishes include standard polyester, Super Durable Polyester (SDR), PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) for intense Gulf UV radiation, and high-build Plastisol/anti-bacterial coatings for chemical or coastal atmospheres.
Panels are protected with heavy-duty PE surface films, interlayered with protective edge guards, bundled with timber skids/pallets, and heat-shrink wrapped in moisture-resistant UV-stable plastic packaging. This ensures safe delivery to project sites across Oman, the GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain), and global ports without transit distortion or moisture ingress.
