Rock wool products are formulated using high-quality basalt and dolomite as primary natural raw materials. After melting at temperatures higher than 1450°C, the molten substance is fiberized at high speed using an internationally advanced four-axis centrifuge. During this continuous process, precise amounts of specialized binder, dustproof oil, and water repellent are sprayed prior to collection by an automated cotton collector. Utilizing pendulum and three-dimensional structuring methods followed by rigorous heat curing and solidification, the material is formed and cut to satisfy diverse industrial specifications and application needs.

Technical Specifications & Ordering Notes:
* ID refers to the inner diameter of the mineral wool pipe cover; DN indicates standard nominal diameters of steel or PVC pipes; Inch denotes pipe diameter. For projects where DN ≥ 900, mineral blankets can be deployed as alternatives to rigid pipe sections.
** Thickness may vary according to application requirements. It is suggested to use two staggered layers of half-thickness when total thickness exceeds 100mm.
*** Standard manufactured length is 1000mm. Custom dimensions are available upon request.

Our rock wool products are manufactured using selected high-grade basalt and dolomite as principal minerals. These natural rocks are melted at extreme temperatures above 1450°C and processed via advanced 4-axis centrifuges into fine mineral wool fibers before binder and water repellents are introduced.
The rock wool products are non-flammable and certified with an A1 Fire Rating under EN 13501-1 and BS 476 Part 4. They feature exceptional thermal stability with a melting point exceeding 1000°C and a low thermal conductivity of ≤ 0.048 W/m·K (ASTM C177).
The pipe covers support nominal diameters from DN 15 (1/2" ID) up to DN 1200 (48" ID), with wall thicknesses between 25mm to 100mm (1" to 4") and standard lengths of 914mm or 1000mm. For large-scale pipes exceeding DN 900, flexible mineral wool blankets are recommended.
When the specified thermal insulation thickness exceeds 100mm, it is recommended to apply a dual-layer installation system using two sections of half thickness each. Staggering the seams between layers prevents thermal bridging and ensures maximum insulation efficiency.
The product offers a high hydrophobic rate of ≥ 99% and a low water absorption coefficient of ≤ 1 kg/m² under GB/T 25975 standards. Furthermore, volumetric moisture absorption remains under 0.2%, providing reliable protection against dampness and internal condensation.
Products must be stored vertically or kept inside protective cartons, and covered with waterproof plastic or canvas sheets in outdoor or humid environments. Installers should wear standard protective clothing (long sleeves and long pants), safety goggles with side shields, and respiratory dust masks during handling.
